San Antonio

San Antonio

Monday March 25 Through Sunday March 31, 2019

On the drive into San Antonio, our  first order of business was to check the dogs into Rob Carey  Pet Resort.  The dogs would be in the kennel Monday through Wednesday during the time work on the truck camper would be done at Princess Craft in Round Rock Texas.  Princess Craft would be installing TorkLift GlowSteps with the All Terrain Landing Gear.

After staying Monday night at the San Antonio KOA, we drove up the TX-130 toll road the two plus hours up to Round Rock making the 9:00 AM installation appointment with 15 minutes to spare.  Driving the toll road is much better than suffering through rush hour downtown Austin on I-35.  After the installation, it took two plus hours to get back to the San Antonio KOA.

San Antonio’s weather was beautiful Tuesday afternoon.  We just hung out and giggled periodically.  We should have bought these steps with the truck camper a year and a half ago.  No more worrying about falling off the ladder.

After my annual physical Wednesday, we went to the kennel to pick up the dogs.  They had been groomed.  The dogs seemed a bit out of sorts.  Not all that unusual but still a concern.  Ultimately the dogs recovered from their funk.

Thursday, we met one of Linda’s friends for lunch at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen.   Pappadeaux is a good solid seafood place with a Cajun twist.  Lunch was excellent and service was great.  This is a good safe restaurant to take out of towners.

Linda’s friend gave her this cute sign for the RV.  Above the door seems like an appropriate place to hang it.  It will take a bit of picture hanging hardware to make it secure.

After lunch, an appointment with my cardiologist.  There was a hiccup on the electrocardiogram and I’m now scheduled for a stress test.  Probably nothing but still a concern.

Late Sunday morning, we finished packing up and drove north up US-289 toward Colorado Bend State Park.

Hope to see you on the road ahead!
