This park’s location is ideal for traveling between San Antonio and locations west of Amarillo along Interstate 40.
The original plan was to spend two nights in Lubbock. We only stayed one night to allow us to avoid an early winter storm system moving across the country. Even though we cut our stay short, we were still able to connect up with friends for dinner.
The park hadn’t changed a bit. The people were still helpful and friendly. The restrooms and showers were still clean and worn. It was still windy in Lubbock. The trains still blew their horns all night. Trucks still rumbled along the highway passing the park. The dogs still liked the dog park.
We will stay here again.
